Incendio at the Mauch Chunk Opera House
A musical group whose sound is all about energy, exploration, and passion. At the heart of Incendio sound is the Latin or Spanish guitar, which can conjure up romantic as well as powerful, bold images. Their music is not solely flamenco, classical, Middle Eastern, Celtic, jazz, rock, trance, or pop, but all of them. Tickets and info here.
Bear Mountain Butterflies: Marvelous Mondays All Month Long

Eddie Bruce Performs Songs of Tony Bennett at the Mauch Chunk Opera House
Eddie Bruce is a natural performer – he always has been. Whether he’s singing his popular tribute to Tony Bennett, or appearing with The Philly Pops, or performing for hundreds of guests at an event, he instinctively knows how to engage his audiences. Bear Mountain Butterflies:Super Sunday - Live Birds of Prey - Owls
Butterflies, frogs and birds ! CCEEC will brings live owls for a special program at 5 PM. Light refreshments follow program. Cost is $6 per person for the end of day raptor program. Appropriate for ages 5 and older. Proceeds benefit the Sanctuary Foundation. More info here or call 570-325-4848.

PA Burlesque Festival at the Mauch Chunk Opera House
The PA Burlesque Festival returns to Jim Thorpe for its Fifth Anniversary! Headlined by 2013 PABF Crystal Corset Award winner and Dita VonTeese cast member, Medianoche, the PABF presents the Friday Fundraiser Showcase, featuring a special performance by Burlesque legend Penny Starr. Kishi Bashi Band at the Mauch Chunk Opera House
Having collaborated and toured with indie strangelings of Montreal, Regina Spektor, and Sondre Lerche, singer, violinist, and composer, K Ishibashi (aka Kishi Bashi), embarks on a epic orchestral solo project. This live show with his band is a dazzling array of looping and vocal/violin gymnastics with epic lush and dreamy sound. Tickets and info here.

Train-Bike Ride by Pocono Whitewater
Step back in time and enjoy a relaxing train ride up the Lehigh Gorge for 25 miles, then pedal your bike back down to Jim Thorpe at your own pace along the Lehigh Gorge Rail-Trail. Begin in Jim Thorpe where you will board the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway for a one-hour ride as the train swings onto the former Lehigh Valley main line and passes Glen Onoko, on it's way to White Haven. Atlas Gray at the Mauch Chunk Opera House
Atlas Gray’s music and performances capture the qualities of music that move people. Steeped in the traditions of funk and soul, their sound is reminiscent of vintage 70’s Steely Dan with a familiar modern flavor of bands such as Maroon Five, Cold Play. Tickets and info here.

The Grascals at the Mauch Chunk Opera House
The Grascals have gained fame by playing on the Grand Ole Opry and in bluegrass festivals around the country. They have won SPBGMA’s Bluegrass Band of the Year award in 2010, its Instrumental Group of the Year three years in a row, the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Emerging Artist of the Year award in 2005 and earning its Entertainer of the Year honor in both 2006 and 2007. Randy Rabenold Art Event at the Mauch Chunk Opera House
The Randy Rabenold Art Show exhibits the works local area educator, Randy Rabenold. An art teacher for 37 years, his art roots were anchored in the Great Depression and the cruel winters of the Korean War. A founding member of the Jim Thorpe Summer League and a basketball coach most of his life, he published over 100 sports cartoons featured in the Times News. Free! Info here.

A show a long the lines of Prarie Home Companion, this month features musical guests, Boston’s Girls, Guns, and Glory. Doc Gibbs and Friends featuring Dee Dee Lavell at the Opera House
Doc Gibbs has toured with Anita Baker, Whitney Houston, Bob James, Ricki Lee Jones, Al Jarreau, Grover Washington, Jr.. He acquired the nickname “Doc” after suggesting herbal remedies to jazz saxophonist Grover Washington, Jr. Australian vocalist DeeDee Lavell has captivated fans throughout Australia delivering vocal stylings of gospel, blues, funk and jazz.
