Open Mic Night Thursdays
The open mic is hosted by Strange Brew Coffee Shop 79 Broadway from 5-8PM every Thursday Night. We encourage musicians, poets, writers, performers, and comedians to attend, but it is family friendly so no cussing is allowed.

The Doughboys at the Opera House
The Doughboys play venues like B.B. King's in New York City sharing bills with groups like The Pretenders and Robin Trower, and playing to ecstatic crowds. Their music recalls early Stones and Kinks. Carbon/Schuylkill Community Theatre Auditions
For the Evening of Short Plays on March 13 & 14 from 2:00-4:00pm at The Studio, 255-257 E.Ridge Street, Lansford. Needed are actors & actresses ranging in age from young adults to senior citizens. You will be asked to read from the script. Rehearsals will be on either Tues. or Thurs evening, and commitment is minimal since each play is only approx. 10 minutes long. A great day at the parade just got better! Stop in for our fundraiser event for the museum and cultural center on March 14th at the Mauch Chunk Ballroom on 41 W Broadway. St Patrick's Day Parade

Haiti Relief Benefit at the Mauch Chunk Ballroom
1 PM to 10 PM: Featuring local and regional artists, musicians, vendors and raffles, karaoke and dancing. Caribbean Food and local cuisine is included. Children's Author Book-Signing at the Dimmick Library
1 PM: Robb Taylor, multi-talented musician and children's book author, will be at the Dimmick Library Annex to talk about and sign copies of his two children's books The Tale of the Easter Bunny and Mr. Mischief. The first book delivers a lesson for children to be kind to animals. The second book is a Halloween story that teaches children why prejudice is wrong. 58 Broadway in downtown Jim Thorpe.
