Sep 1 | | Every Saturday Book Sale | | Every Saturday, 12 - 4: Used Book Sale at the Dimmick Library Annex at 58 Broadway, Jim Thorpe. Good books! - and at great prices! Fiction, non-fiction and children's books - three rooms of books, all displayed in one of Jim Thorpe's beautiful Victorian houses. Most book prices are between $1 and $3 and paperbacks and childrens books are less. All proceeds benefit the Dimmick Memorial Library. For info call 325-2131. |
| Sep 1 - 30 | | Open Mic Night Thursdays | | The open mic is hosted by Strange Brew Coffee Shop 79 Broadway from 5-8PM every Thursday Night. We encourage musicians, poets, writers, performers, and comedians to attend, but it is family friendly so no cussing is allowed. |
| Sep 4 - 5 | | Whitewater Lehigh River Dam Release | | Lehigh River whitewater releases originate at the US Army Corps of Engineers' Francis Walter Dam, about seven miles upstream from White Haven and the Lehigh Gorge State Park. Releases usually begin at 1 AM and conclude at 1 PM. This places water at the whitewater launch sites from about 7 AM until mid-afternoon. |
