Fall Foliage Weekends 2014
Jim Thorpe, PA

October
4-5, 11-12, 18-19

Due to bridge construction, parking this year will be especially tight! We're losing 250 spaces while work on the bridge progresses.

Check out this info and this map for an easy alternative.

If you must park at the downtown county parking lot, please arrive in the morning, as even on a good day it can be difficult to find parking in town. Also, try and arrive as early to Jim Thorpe as possible, otherwise, you might find yourself in a bit of a traffic jam!

There are new restrooms at the visitor's center downtown!

Also, the Opera House restrooms and bar will be open from 12 - 5 on festival days.

Our sincere thanks for coming to Jim Thorpe, PA!

What's Going On

In addition, ticketed entertainment takes place each Saturday night of Fall Foliage Weekends at the Mauch Chunk Opera House, one of the finest downtown music venues in Pennsylvania.

- When to Get Here

We recommend you arrive as early as possible in order to reduce traffic wait times getting into town.

- Where to Park

Parking in town itself is very difficult on any weekend. The best thing is to simply avoid trying to park on Broadway. instead, use the Carbon County Municipal Lot behind the downtown train station.

If you are arriving in Jim Thorpe on 209S from Stroudsburg, bear right through the light and in approximately 50 yards on your right, you'll see the lot entrance. If you are coming from 903S, then cross the bridge and go left at the light. From Nesquehoning on 209N just proceed straight through the light. In about 150 yards you'll see the lot on your left.
