Celebrate Jim Thorpe's 27^th Annual Olde Time Christmas Festival in an intriguing town full of history and old-world charm.

This festival, sponsored by the Jim Thorpe Chamber of Commerce, will take place December 5,6,7 and December 13,14.

During this season, Jim Thorpe is magically transformed back to an authentic Victorian village. Our tree lighting ceremony kicks off the celebration on Dec 5^th at 6pm in Asa Packer Park, next to the downtown train station. Pictures with Santa, a live nativity, music, mitten tree, Christmas characters, free hot chocolate and cookies provide just some of the excitement. Come at 5:30 to see Santa arrive on a fire truck during the parade! 

Great entertainment fills OTC both weekends. The 4 Celtic Women show at the Mauch Chunk Opera House on Dec 6th brings an international flavor to the weekend's events. Listen to the angelic sounds of the Bach & Handel Choral at St. Mark's Church on Saturday, 12/13 at 3 PM.  Craig Thatcher's All-Star Christmas Jam injects some great rock 'n' roll into the season on OTC's second weekend, the evening of Saturday, December 13, also at the Opera House.

Take an exciting Ghost Walk, sponsored by the Rotary or a tour of the Asa Packer Mansion which will be decorated especially for the season. See the Old Mauch Chunk Model Train Display in downtown Jim Thorpe magically transformed into a winter wonderland.  Kids bring your letters to Santa! Visit with Frosty the Snowman and Nature's Trail's Peef the Christmas Bear.

Enjoy our authentic Victorian Tea & Show both weekends or take an exciting treasure hunt for delicious yummies on our celebrated mug walk. Horse-drawn trolley rides and strolling characters and Victorian-decorated merchant windows add to the Christmas atmosphere.
