OLD JAIL MUSEUM -website-

Looking for a fun day for your young children? Reading Escapades offers fun-filled day camps for children ages 3-10. With many rotating themes such as dinosaurs and Ancient Egypt, your child will be entertained while they discover interesting and wonderful facts. Space is limited so reservations are required. We also offer weekly group tutoring for children ages 3-15 in reading, math and Spanish as well as private tutoring in most subjects.

Costumed GhostGuides share intriguing tales of reported ghoulish encounters and stories of historic properties and people along Broadway. Family-friendly walks weekend evenings (Ghost season: Fri, Sept 7-Sat, Dec 15) start from the Inn at Jim Thorpe, 24 Broadway. Outdoors - 1 mile roundtrip to the Old Jail Museum - about an hour. Walk-ins welcome if space is available - reservations strongly recommended. Tickets available 15 minutes before each walk; adults: $10, children, 7-12: $5. Since the Delaware & Lehigh's designation by Congress in 1988, it has been our mission to restore historic places, conserve green space for public use and preserve and interpret our heritage to enhance life for generations to come.

CARBON COUNTY FAIR -website-
The Carbon County Lion/Lioness Fair Association, Inc. was created in January 1999. The Association is comprised of the Bowmanstown/Parryville Lions, Franklin Township Lions, Lehighton Lions, Lehighton Lioness Lions, Mahoning Lions, Palmerton Lions, West Penn Lions and the Jim Thorpe Lioness Clubs. We wanted to create a Fair that would showcase the Carbon County 4-H and provide those kids with the recognition and positive reinforcement that they so greatly deserve.
